There's a Simple Truth about Music and About Education.

Music helps us to do better in all aspects of life. This has been proven at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Check it for yourself.  Thanks to Steve Jobs and Apple Inc. our Music and Computers go together like burgers and fries, or if you like Sushi and Rice.
Children with Music in school classes get higher grades. They are more confident and use more of their brain. Yepp. Thats right. It's really cool to play guitar or piano. It's also cool to compose for fun. In teenagers perhaps it would be good to encourage music in spare time and in after school clubs.

Some people call it the Mozart Effect. I call it the Apple efx spectacular. Apple Inc an Apple Records have all had a huge positive effect on making music reach us in new ways. Do you see the time line yet ?
Comedy and Music seem to go hand in hand and add to the effect.
In addition to studies at McGill the Scientists at Stanford University, in California, have recently revealed a molecular basis for the Mozart effect, but not other music. Dr. Rauscher and her colleague H. Li, a geneticist, have discovered that rats, like humans, perform better on learning and memory tests after listening to a specific Mozart sonata. A book called The Mozart Effect by Don Campbell, has condensed the world's research on all the beneficial effects of certain  types of music.
Simple Truth : In 1996, the College Entrance Exam Board Service in the USA conducted a study on all  students taking their SAT exams.  Students who sang or played a musical instrument scored 51 points higher on the verbal portion of the test and an average of 39 points higher on math.
There you have it. Mozart is cool. And Rock 'n' Roll doesn't just make us dance, it makes us smarter. Elvis was on to something. So were the Beatles and Frank Sinatra and Charles Mingus and Adele and many others ... And so it goes. Music is Life.
